Description

Gravel Grids – Durable & Reliable Gravel Stabilisation

Our ECCOgravel grids are the ideal solution for creating strong, stable, and long-lasting gravel surfaces. Commonly referred to as Gravel Driveway Grids, Gravel Stabilisation Grids, gravel mats, or plastic driveway grids, these systems are designed to prevent movement and improve the performance of gravel and aggregate surfaces.

Perfect for both domestic and commercial use, it delivers a professional finish for driveways, pathways, and landscaped areas.

What Are Gravel Stabilisation Grids?

ECCOgravel grids are interlocking, foldable panels with a honeycomb structure that hold gravel firmly in place. Once filled, they create a solid, water-permeable surface that reduces shifting, rutting, and gravel migration.

Suitable applications include:

  • Driveways and parking areas
  • Footpaths and walkways
  • Garden terraces and patios
  • Access roads and utility areas
  • Sports and recreational surfaces

High-Quality, Eco-Friendly Materials

Our ECCOgravel grids are manufactured in Belgium from 100% HDPE (high-density polyethylene), offering excellent strength, flexibility and durability.

  • Frost- and UV-resistant, remaining flexible down to -20°C
  • Available in white
  • Bonded polyester geotextile membrane, fully welded to the underside for long-term stability

This membrane plays a crucial role in gravel stabilisation, helping to:

  • Prevent sinking and rut formation
  • Reduce movement of stone chippings and aggregates
  • Minimise weed growth
  • Maintain water permeability over time

Installation Guidance

Gravel Stabilisation Grids can be installed on a variety of permeable surfaces, including grass and soil. However, proper ground preparation is essential to achieve the best results.

Key considerations:

  • Ensure a stable sub-base suitable for the intended load
  • Allow for adequate drainage
  • Adjust base depth depending on usage (pedestrian vs vehicular)

For best results, consult a professional groundworks contractor to determine the correct installation method for your project.
