McMonagle Stone Invests in Major Facility Upgrades at Mountcharles Head Office
Renovation works are currently underway at McMonagle Stone’s Head Office and Production Facility in Mountcharles, Co. Donegal, as the company prepares for the installation of a new state-of-the-art machine designed to significantly enhance production capacity and improve the primary sawing process.

The new equipment represents a major step forward in McMonagle Stone’s ongoing commitment to innovation, efficiency, and product quality. Once operational, the technology will further increase output and strengthen the company’s ability to meet growing demand across both domestic and international markets.
For over 44 years and across three generations, McMonagle Stone has remained a family-run business dedicated to producing high-quality natural stone. Founded by Dan McMonagle in 1974, the company began as a small local operation supplying stone for domestic builds. Today, it has grown into a leading international supplier, exporting natural stone products worldwide.
Continued Expansion Across Ireland
McMonagle Stone now employs over 70 people across its quarries, production facilities, and offices. The company operates from four quarries in Co. Donegal and continues to expand its national presence.
In addition to its established Landscape Centre in Swords, Co. Dublin, McMonagle Stone is also pleased to announce the opening of a new showroom at McGrath Business Park, Lissue Industrial Estate East, Lisburn, Co. Antrim.
Strengthening Presence in Northern Ireland
Commenting on the expansion, founder Dan McMonagle said:

The Lisburn showroom features an extensive display of natural stone products, including building stone, cladding stone, architectural stone, paving stone, decorative chippings, and more.
Looking Ahead
With renovation works at Mountcharles scheduled for completion in 2018, the company is entering an exciting period of growth and investment. Alongside facility upgrades, McMonagle Stone is also preparing to launch a new company website and online shop, further strengthening its brand presence and digital offering within the natural stone industry.
