Decorative Grit Sandstone - Machined
Quarried in Donegal, Grit Sandstone is golden brown in colour and is named after its granite like gritty surface texture.
This product is called Grit Sandstone - Machined due to how it is produced. The raw material is machine split on 3 - 4 sides in our production facility, giving at least one working face on each stone. For further refinement of raw material stones may require further dressing by your stonemason onsite depending on preferred style of build. Also available in random rubble, sawn bed or tumbled form.
Grit Sandstone - Machined is commonly used to create decorative stonework for domestic houses, commercial buildings, garden and landscaping projects. Always remember that stonework may appear different from one project to the next due to colour variations or as a result of a stonemasons individual build style. Stonework will appear darker when wet and lighter when dry. It is recommended to view natural stone material in reality to get a better understanding of its natural characteristics and colour variations.
A bulk bag of Grit Sandstone - Machined will approximately cover 3.2 - 3.5 sq.m.
Our building stone calculator is available to help you work out how many bags you will need to cover your desired area. Simply input your dimensions. Please be advised that Calculators and estimates are presented for guidance purposes only at quote stage. McMonagle Stone will not be responsible for any inaccurate calculations relating to estimations or material quantities.
It is recommended to check all material estimations with a professional contractor prior to order or purchase.
