McMonagle Stone prides itself on being the sole producer and exporter of the much – acclaimed Donegal Quartzite and Mountcharles Sandstone, both products are riven from the rugged landscape adjacent to Ireland’s wild Atlantic coastline. Associated with quality stone for over four decades, McMonagle Stone has grown as the world has discovered the unique properties of the product range we quarry and export.
Why not visit us in Donegal, we will happily give a tour of our quarries and production facility.
Our Donegal Quartzite is renowned for its durability, unique colour variations and smooth, non – slip natural riven surface.
Popular for both domestic and commercial projects, our products are tried and tested to the highest tolerances and finishes.
With a high flexural strength, Mountcharles Sandstone is suitable for use in many aspects of building and landscaping including paving, load bearing masonry and cladding.
Popular for its neutral shades of cream and golden brown this material can also have subtle blue tones as seen in our paving and Blue Centre Walling Stone.
Many new and refurbished buildings and landscapes in the UK, Germany, France, China, Japan and many more display our Donegal Quartzite and Mountcharles Sandstone products. The below map of the world demonstrates all the countries McMonagle Stone has exported to since 1988, when the company first started exporting to the UK.
Building is an enormous and stressful process but the end results are wonderful and we treasure our home everyday in a way which you only can if you have built yourself. As you know we love the cladding stone and remain extremely grateful for all the help you and your team gave us towards achieving our goal.
I am big fan of McMonagle Stone and have done a lot of work with them over the years.
We have just completed a carport and ramp for our disabled daughter using stoneer on the outside walls and adjoining garage. We used Donegal Quartzite sawn paving on the floor which meets the requirements of our Occupational Therapist.
This is fantastic and a big plus as they are so hard to please. We were so grateful to Caroline for all her help and guidance over the years. Our next plan is to use Mc Monagle Stone on the porch conservatory and full gable wall just waiting on our stone mason to get back to us.
