Blue Grey Slate Random Rubble

Our Blue Grey Slate walling stone originates from Co. Donegal. It can be purchased in two forms; random rubble or garden walling. This material is also known as Donegal Slate, which is hugely popular with homeowners and can be seen in homes across Ireland and the UK.

Predomindately Blue Grey in colour this material can vary and also contain brownish colour tones. Sometimes homeowners may experience rusting which is due to the natural oxidation of iron deposits within the material. Should iron staining occur it is recommended to avoid using general cleaners that contain acid as this will damage your stonework. We recommend contacting our sales team to source a rust remover designed specifically for natural stone.

If you have any queries relating to our Blue Grey Slate Random Rubble please complete our ‘Get A Quote’ contact form and a member of our sales team will be in touch to assist.

  • Samples: Our natural stone samples are generally delivered by An Post and therefore only a small material piece can be sent to help give our customers a better understanding of the general appearance and nature of the product. Depending on the product type, some samples may not be true to form for example building stone sample requests are simply too large and heavy to send via post and therefore a smaller, cladding sample of the same material will be sent in its place. We always recommend visiting our display area to view the material in reality should you have any concerns relating to size or colour prior to order. We try to offer samples for all our products but sometimes due to low stock we may not be able to fullfill your request for certain non stock iteams i.e porcelain. We also cannot fulfill sample requests for sealed adhesives, grouts, sealers and cleaners that contain chemical agents. McMonagle Stone is solely a distributor of these products.

Colour Variations

Please note colours shown in imagery on this website should be taken as indicative. They are as accurate as photographic processing and computer monitors allow. We recommend that decisions on a specific colour of stone should be made from viewing the product in person. Tonal variations and shades are evident in all natural stone products. No two pieces of natural stone are identical.
