The Brief

The design called for a grand and sophisticated entrance feature that would complement the property's soft white smooth-rendered façade and rusticated base. The client required a natural stone solution that would enhance the home's architectural character while delivering long-lasting durability and visual appeal.

In addition, paving was required for the rear outdoor living areas to create a seamless connection between the house and its spectacular coastal surroundings.

Natural Stone Solution

To achieve the desired aesthetic, McMonagle Stone designed and supplied a bespoke classical four-pier entrance portico using our renowned Mountcharles Sandstone.

Quarried and handcrafted in Mountcharles, Co. Donegal, this premium Irish sandstone was selected for its beautiful natural colouring, exceptional quality, and suitability for architectural stonework.

Alongside the entrance portico, we also supplied Mountcharles Sandstone Paving for the rear of the property, creating elegant outdoor spaces that complement the home's award-winning design.
