ETNA Cappuccino is a contemporary Italian porcelain tile featuring a beautiful beige hue. These rectified tiles, with a thickness of 2 cm, are available in a standard size of 800 x 400 mm. Ideal for minimal garden designs, the ETNA Cappuccino range is R11 rated and exceptionally durable. Porcelain Tiles

Porcelain tiles are crafted from a specific blend of clay, sand, and feldspar, and are fired at higher temperatures than ceramic tiles. This process makes them denser and harder.

Versatility: Suitable for both internal and external applications.

Durability: More durable than ceramic tiles and resistant to scratches and scuff marks.

Maintenance: Low maintenance and easy to clean.

Moisture Resistance: High resistance to moisture, absorbing less water.

Disadvantages

Brittleness: More brittle and challenging to cut.

Batch Variations: Potential for variations in colour, texture, and sizes between different batches.

Porcelain Batch Warning

Porcelain is produced in batches, which may result in variations. The porcelain you view as a sample may differ from the delivered tiles.

To ensure consistency:

Order Full Quantity: Purchase the entire quantity needed from the same batch.

Extra Tiles: Order an additional 3–5% for potential replacements.

Batch Records: Keep a record of the ‘batch colour code’ from the packaging.

Porcelain Installation

ETNA Cappuccino porcelain tiles can be used for:

Internal Flooring: Typically 10mm thickness.

External Flooring: Typically 20mm–30mm thickness.

Walls: Suitable depending on weight and application.

High Moisture Areas: Ideal for wet rooms and pool areas.

For optimal results, hire an experienced professional with a proven track record in laying porcelain tiles. It is recommended to lay the tiles in either stack bond or third bond patterns due to tile variances. Half bond patterns may highlight these variances and could lead to water pooling.
