Description

Irish Blue Limestone is a distinguished natural stone with a rich historical background, known for its use in ancient Ireland’s monuments and buildings. Today, it is celebrated for its contemporary style, making it a popular choice in modern landscaping and property design. The flamed finish gives the stone a textured surface that enhances slip resistance, making it both a practical and stylish option for various applications. The stone may feature natural white fossil markings, adding to its unique character.

Laying Caution

For optimal results, it is advisable to lay Irish Blue Limestone in rows of equal widths. If your paving contractor is unfamiliar with this product, there may be a risk of inconsistent installation. To avoid issues, ensure that the various widths are unpacked and organised before installation begins. McMonagle Stone is not responsible for incorrect installation or misuse of the product.

Advantages

Durability: Hardwearing and suitable for both residential and commercial use. Slip Resistance: The flamed finish provides excellent slip resistance, ideal for wet conditions. Aesthetic Appeal: Unique natural colour variations and fossil markings add character and value. Cost-Effective: Due to its longevity, it can be a more economical choice over time.

Aftercare

To maintain the pristine condition of your Irish Blue Limestone paving, regular cleaning is essential. We recommend cleaning at least twice a year, particularly in Autumn. Avoid using general acid cleaners, as they can damage the stone. Instead, use cleaners specifically designed for natural stone to prevent staining and maintain the stone's appearance.
