Description

Absolute Nero, previously known as Irish Bluestone, shares similarities in colour and pattern with the popular Kilkenny Blue Limestone paving slabs. Individual samples can be viewed at our depots; please check with our sales team at your preferred depot in advance to avoid disappointment.

Sizes

This product is available in the following size: 800 x 400 x 20mm

Advantages

Versatility: Suitable for both internal and external applications.

Design: Modern designs with larger sizes and consistent colour.

Durability: More durable than ceramic tiles, with high resistance to scratches and scuff marks.

Maintenance: Low maintenance and easy to clean.

Moisture Resistance: High moisture resistance, absorbing less water. Precision: Rectified tiles allow for consistent narrow joint gaps.

Disadvantages

Brittleness: More brittle and difficult to cut compared to other tiles.

Batch Variations: Variations in colour, texture, and sizes between different batches.

Porcelain Batch Warning

Porcelain is manufactured in batches, leading to potential variations in colour, texture, and sizes. The porcelain you view in a sample or showroom may differ from what you receive.

To avoid inconsistencies:

Order in Full: Order the full quantity needed to ensure consistency from the same batch.

Extra Tiles: Consider ordering an additional 3–5% to account for future replacements.

Batch Records: Keep a record of the 'batch colour code' from the packaging.

McMonagle Stone does not guarantee stock from specific batches or keep records of delivered batch numbers.

Porcelain Installation

Porcelain tiles can be used for:

Internal Flooring: Typically 10mm thickness.

External Flooring: Typically 20mm–30mm thickness.

Walls: Depending on weight and suitability.

High Moisture Areas: Suitable for wet rooms and pool areas.

For best results, consult an experienced professional familiar with porcelain tiles. It is advisable to use either stack bond or third bond patterns due to tile variances. Half bond installation may make variances more visible and could lead to water pooling.
