Business Development Executive

Department: Sales / Business Development
Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland

Business Development Executive 

McMonagle Stone are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our Sales Team. Based in our Showroom / Depot in Lisburn, the successful applicant will be responsible for dealing with the day-to-day sales, enquiries, transactions whilst maintaining a high standard of customer care. The successful applicant would also be expected to generate new leads and build relationships with new and existing customers at site meetings.   

Report To: Sales Director

Hours of Work:  Full Time with occasional Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be the first point of contact with the customers (phone / showroom visitors), offering advice on all products.
  • Growing business through the development of new leads and new contacts.
  • You will be required to travel to attend site meetings with new and existing customers.
  • Prepare quotations using our ERP System and send to the customer in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensuring the efficient processing and follow-up of customer enquiries, sales orders, quotation requests and deliveries.
  • Responsible for managing and reporting on all work activity / leads / sales through the company CRM system on a daily basis.
  • Understand customer expectations and needs.
  • You will be expected to learn about the broad range of natural stone products and uses for each product.
  • Achieve Sales & margin targets.
  • Processing cash/account counter sales.
  • Support the team with other responsibilities as required
  • Merchandising and maintenance of all categories of stock.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience required:

  • Previous experience in sales, business development or similar role.
  • Building Material / Stone product knowledge is advantageous. 
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry is advantageous.
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • IT Literacy Essential.
  • Ability to sell value and create credibility.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic to build good relationships with people.
  • An ability to interpret drawing is advantageous.
  • Hold a current forklift licence is advantageous.
