Business Development Executive
McMonagle Stone are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our Sales Team. Based in our Showroom / Depot in Lisburn, the successful applicant will be responsible for dealing with the day-to-day sales, enquiries, transactions whilst maintaining a high standard of customer care. The successful applicant would also be expected to generate new leads and build relationships with new and existing customers at site meetings.
Report To: Sales Director
Hours of Work: Full Time with occasional Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be the first point of contact with the customers (phone / showroom visitors), offering advice on all products.
- Growing business through the development of new leads and new contacts.
- You will be required to travel to attend site meetings with new and existing customers.
- Prepare quotations using our ERP System and send to the customer in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensuring the efficient processing and follow-up of customer enquiries, sales orders, quotation requests and deliveries.
- Responsible for managing and reporting on all work activity / leads / sales through the company CRM system on a daily basis.
- Understand customer expectations and needs.
- You will be expected to learn about the broad range of natural stone products and uses for each product.
- Achieve Sales & margin targets.
- Processing cash/account counter sales.
- Support the team with other responsibilities as required
- Merchandising and maintenance of all categories of stock.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience required:
- Previous experience in sales, business development or similar role.
- Building Material / Stone product knowledge is advantageous.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry is advantageous.
- Experience with CRM software.
- IT Literacy Essential.
- Ability to sell value and create credibility.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic to build good relationships with people.
- An ability to interpret drawing is advantageous.
- Hold a current forklift licence is advantageous.
